Face Base
Firstly I have been using the sample size Benefit The Porefessional primer. I love this and think that my makeup does stay with it on and it makes the other products go onto my skin much nicer. I then apply the Rimmel BB Cream in the shade Light if I'm having a bad skin day and want more coverage. I have been loving this for a long time as I don't wear foundation because I get worried that I'll end up with more spots and it also has SPF 25 which is obviously really good in the summer! Next I have only recently been using the Natural Collection (only at Boots) Concealer in the shade Fair. If you've read any of my other beauty related posts you will probably know that like about 90% of teenage girls I LOVE the Collection lasting perfection concealer but I went to 2 boots and neither had my colour so I went for this which was £1.99!! I was just going to use it until I could get a Collection one but I really like how this one is light which is good in the warm weather and also brightens under my eyes (not as well as the Collection one but for £1.99 I'm not complaining!) so I wont worry about getting another now. Lastly is pressed powder. I use the Avon color trend translucent powder. It's translucent so it literally sets makeup to keep it in place without adding any colour or extra coverage at all. The BB Cream alone can make your face look oily and shiny especially in the sun so a translucent powder is a great way to prevent that and give not a completely, but almost matte finish. To apply the BB Cream and concealer I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and for the powder I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which I do sometimes also apply concealer with aswell.
Eyes and Brows
Cheeks and Lips
Lastly for cheeks and lips. For cheeks I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in the shade 050 Live Pink. Its a really pretty pink with a slight shimmer but once its been blended just leaves a really natural sheer finish. I blend this with the Real Techniques Contor Brush. I have also attempted to use the Benefit Posie Tint which is a lip and cheek stain on my cheeks but I haven't quite mastered blending that in yet so it just looks like a pink splodge on my cheek that slowly fades which doesn't exactly look very good believe it or not! So I stick to using it on my lips. It stains your lips a really pretty pink colour and lasts throughout the day even when the gloss I put on top has gone. On top I have been loving the Benefit Life on the A list lip gloss which I have rediscovered within my makeup collection. It smells really nice and lasts along time too.
There we go, my summer makeup look! I only realised when writing this that there is a lot of Benefit products which I know are quite pricey so sorry about that but there are many very similar alternatives in shops like Boots and Superdrug and boots also often do mini Benefit products in sets for a lot cheaper so look out for those!
Abbie x
