Class of 2009-2014 ♡

So last week me and Alicia left High School! Apart from many...many tears I don't think we could of asked for a better leavers day or prom. I know Alicia did a post similar to this yesterday but I wanted to show my prom things and I'm also going to tell you a little bit about our leavers day.

Leavers day

Our leavers day was the 25th June, the day after the very last summer exam for this year. We started the day in our tutor groups until everyone had arrived before we moved into the maths block so all of year 11 were together in a separate building so we didn't disturb the rest of the school. This is where we did things like sign old shirts and year books or whatever people took in to get people to write in. We also took lots of pictures with our friends until we moved at break time to outside the canteen. Here we had a barbecue and teachers came to say good bye and sign things for us. We also started to say goodbye to people we wouldn't be seeing in a while as we got ready to go to our leavers assembly. The assembly consisted of year 7 photos, photos from trips we went on such as Venice, Italy and Baggeridge outdoor center, Big Brother style video diaries, year awards, thank yous, videos from our year 7 concert and many other things. Then everything came to a close. It was the time we had all been dreading, saying good bye. Although we would all be back together the next day at prom me, Alicia and our friends all still managed to spend far longer than socially acceptable crying to each other in a circle at the front of the lecture theater. Despite all of the tears we had a great day with all our friends that started all the excitement for Prom! Here are a few of the many pictures I have but as Alicia said yesterday we don't know if our friends would appreciate being put onto the internet so I just have a few.

I was slightly worried Alicia might kill me for these next 2 photos taken from the yearbook so I did have to ask if I could use them! Aha. But luckily she said yes! ENJOY YEAR 7 AND 8 ABBIE AND ALICIA!
Year 7 was definitely our year!
This is the biggest picture on a page about our little picking trip
WE'RE FAMOUS!

Prom!

On the 26th June we had our prom at a lovely golf club near our school.
My dress was from the Prom shop almost every girl from my school uses ,so you cant end up with the same as someone else because they keep a list, called Celebrity.

Because I have light hair and skin I decided that having a spray tan just wasn't for me. Instead I used the Dove Summer Glow nourishing body lotion. It is something you would only need to put on the night before because it really does tan your skin a lot just over night! It was great because I did it the night before but a few days after it started to go really patchy and not look very natural anymore so it might not be very practical for more than 1 day. When I had my dress on I also applied some Ted Baker bronzer that not only adds a small amount of colour it also has small bits of glitter in it so it adds a really nice shimmer.

I don't have a close up of my makeup because it was a bit of a rush after it was done as Alicia and the car arrived  early.  But my auntie very kindly did it for me and it was perfect! Just what I wanted as it wasn't too much but still looked like a lot of effort had been put in! But I do have pictures of my hair! I went to my normal hairdressers and 2 ladies called Lauren and Becky did it for me! It took 1 hour and a half for Lauren to pin curl my hair because of how thick and straight it is and then Becky did me a lovely waterfall plait going around my head and between them they added the clips I got from the prom dress shop. I was so happy with the outcome and once it was done everything became more real that it was actually happening!

For my shoes and bag I had them both from Dorothy Perkins and they were great! The bag was just the right size and with some gel insoles I got I managed to wear my shoes almost all night!

For jewellery I had a sparkly earring and necklase set from Warren James the jewellers  which I'm so glad I spotted! I also got a pandora bangle and charm which matched my dress really well! It was really nice because I didn't see anyone else in one so it was a bit different and also something to remind me of the day as the charm is the same colour as the dress.

Here are a few pictures I have! We went in a vintage gold Rolls Royce that was really cute and like Alicia said, the driver even managed to keep up with our sarcastic jokes which made the quite long drive alot more fun!

Sorry this post is so long I got a bit carried away! Now we are done with school expect more blog posts!

Abbie x
