What's in my Bag!

Finally a new blog post from me! I have been on holiday to Cyprus and have only recently just got back and I must say I'm missing Cyprus so much, but I will be doing a holiday blog post when I get all the pictures! But I thought in the mean time why not do a What's in my Bag because I have seen a lot of people doing these sorts of post's and videos on youtube so I thought why not! Also we might do a whats in our school bag like we did last year as people took and interest in them so maybe a back to school series on the blog as me and Abbie are going to sixth form so we have more school supplies and outfits as we don't have to wear uniforms! Anyway lets get on with it!!!!

This is my bag that I have started using when I go out to places like shopping, college induction days ect, but I also used it to travel to Cyprus with and it was amazing it fit so much stuff in and didn't actually get that heavy! And its the Michael Kors Medium Jet Set Travel and it was brought by my mom and dad for my 16th Birthday and I actually wrote a blog post on it so check that out as I go into more detail! 16th Birthday. It's a decent size and has 3 compartments in it so I can fit quite a lot in there which is good because I take it out for a day hardly anything in it at the start and then by the end it's full and I don't know how!

The picture above shows you a top view of that compartments in the bag and a quick overview of what is in it on a daily basis. So first lets start with the first compartment which is the pocket at the front.

The first pocket I just carry some earphones who are apple ear phones which just come with my phone, I then just have a pen just incase I ever need one when I go out or if I go out with my mom and she doesn't have one it's nice to know I have one as a backup! Then lastly I just have this cream pouch which is from H&M a while back and it just carry's my girly stuff so that they aren't on show to the whole world!

Then in the middle of the back there is a zip pocket and In that I carry my makeup because I don't really see the point in carrying a makeup back because I don't actually wear that much makeup and because at the moment with my tan my makeup doesn't match the shade of my skin as I'm darker so I just carry some Tissues as they are a must with my hay fever, 4head as I get migraines and don't really want to carry my tablets around with me but I do carry paracetamol around with me, then I have my Nivea Milk and Honey lip balm as I have dry lips, then the benefit Bad Gal lash to top my mascara up If I wanted to, then last thing for makeup if the Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder as I don't want to look shiny. Then the last two products are some hand cream from Soap and Glory and some Spray so that I don't smell.

The last pocket in the back is the same size as the pocket in the front and in this one I tend to carry the more expensive stuff as it's closer to my underarm so I anyone tries to steal anything there is a good chance I will be able to feel it! Anyway first thing first is the two paris of glasses first I have my sunglasses which are RayBan and then my glasses which are also RayBan but they would only be in my bag If I were to wear contact lenses. Then I have my purse which used to be my baby pink Ted Baker one but I changed to my MK ones as it's bigger and I could fit more money in when I went to Cyprus and this is just a light brown, then I carry my inhaler just incase and then lastly my life which is my phone!

That is all from me until I do my holiday post but this was only a filler until I write my holiday post but I hope you liked it and stay tuned for the holiday post and more posts of both of us due to summer holidays!

3 Simple Skincare Secrets!♡

Iv found 3 products that have recently been helping my spot prone skin look a lot healthier and so I'm going to share them with you!

My first skin secret is to use a light moisturiser under make up.  I know everyone knows that a moisturiser is essential but for me the key is light! I use the Simple hydrating light moisturiser in a morning before my makeup and a heavy one at night before I go to bed. As the moisturiser is lighter it means your makeup isn't as heavy on your skin and it wont just slip off. Also your skin is protected from the makeup (which for spot prone skin like mine is essential!) so whats not to like!

My second skin secret is to use a product for spots every so often what isn't full of harsh chemicals. I have a couple that I use and love that are spot gels which are great but if they're used too much I worry they may end up doing more harm than good! Thats why I love Sudocrem! Its so simple, can be used for almost any skin related problem, and is cheap! So I use this a few times a week so that the more harsh spot treatments cant harm my skin.

Lastly I have something that since I found out I have been loving! Vaseline under your eyes. It hydrates and when used at night, you wake up in the morning minus dark circles under your eyes! Result! At 16 I'm sure many people will agree when I say, is there much point spending money on something like eye cream to sort our dark circles when something so simple and cheap can do the same job? I certainly don't think so!

And there you have it! 3 products that I use to help keep my skin looking fresh! Simply follow these along with of course drinking lots of water and exercising and you'll have better looking skin in no time! Sorry It's only a short post but I just wanted to post as its now the summer holidays (Its been mine and Alicia's summer for like a month already but that's not the point )which will hopefully mean more posts and hopefully some different style posts that we haven't done before!

Holiday Makeup

Finally a holiday post! Im so excited to be going on holiday back to Cyprus this year I actually can't wait to get an amazing tan and just sit in the sun all day! I thought I would do this post to just show you what sort of makeup I will be taking on holiday I always end up taking my normal makeup which is the makeup I wear on an everyday basis, and I don't normally wear any makeup considering the sun catches my face quick so I don't need it but I just take makeup just incase so lets get into it:)

The makeup bag is one of my favourite makeup bags ever because one it looks small but boy does it go on forever, I can fit so much makeup in there which is great and always comes in handy when im travelling places! The makeup bag is from Ted Baker and it was a prezzie for my birthday last year from Abbie and I love it!

Face:

First is the Nars Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Finland Light 1 this is the best tinted moisturizer I have ever owned and the coverage is brilliant you only need a bit of this as it can feel a bit thick sometimes but I don't use much so I really recommend it from Nars

Then for concealer and under eye concealer I used the Maybelline- Eraser Eye in the shade Light this is the best concealer and actually covers dark under eyes and spots and if it covers spots then it must be good! It also not very heavy either which is good and when I'm having a lazy day I just normally put this on as coverage as it does cover a lot and I just dot it over my face but normally I put this on my T-Zone and under my eyes!

Then I just apply my powder to my whole face and the one I use is the Kiko Soft Light Powder  in the shade 02 this has got to be on of my favourite powders as I had to buy a new one because I could not find my normal Maybelline one anywhere so I read up on the reviews on this on and people said how good it was so I went and brought one and I love it, it also stops me from going shiny and I normally just carry it in my bag just incase I do get a bit oily which is not nice!

Then I just use my fave bronzer and I think it is everyones favourite bronzer and thats the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and it's amazing I just put it on my cheek bones and the sides of my face and It's lasted me a life time I swear I have only recently hit pan and Im sure I will be buying a new one as soon as it runs out because it been fantastic and I really recommend it!

Then Im just taking my Nars Blush in the shade Love which is a rosy pink as it's light to carry and adds a nice suttle colour to my cheeks as I should be red already due to being in the sun all day if Im not careful so this is just an alternative to my Benefit-Rockateur as that one adds a lot of colour to your cheeks and I normally use it in the autumn/winter .

Then on to the last face product Benefit-High Beam this is a perfect product to give you a healthy glow I have only just started using it again and can't believe I stopped using it because it's perfect I just apply to my cheeks and rub it in and people can really see the difference when it's on!

Then on to the brushes I use to apply my face makeup are a range of brushes from Mac to Real Techniques....
Left-Right
The first one is a Real Techniques Blush Brush which I use to apply my blusher, the next one is a Mac 187 Brush which I use to apply bronzer to my cheek bones and sides of my face, then I use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply the High Beam to my cheeks , then the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which I use to apply the powder and lastly the Mac 190 Brush to apply my Nars Tinted moisturizer and the Beauty Blender for the concealer.

Eyes:

First for my eyes is to curl them with some eye lash curlers and then I just use my Nars-Longer than life Volumizing Mascara and it's amazing doesn't clump or anything and since I have been curing my lashes and apply vaseline to them when I go to bed they have go a  lot longer so the mascara shows that off a lot and I think it a brilliant mascara as Im really funny with mascara!

Then for Brows I have changed what I use because I was using a Mac eyeshadow which I actually choose the wrong colour and I have only just realised to instead of going to buy a new one I was watching this girl on youtube called imhereforever and she used a Natural Collection one so I went and brought one which matches my colour and this is in the shade Crushed Walnut so it was really inexpensive and works brilliantly. Then im just taking my Benefit-Speed Brow to keep my brows in place!

Then just for eyeshadow Im either taking the Naked Palette 2 or 3 as I had a wide range of colours to pick from then but Im going to discuss it with my mom so we can take one to share as it will be much easier but If you want to see the colours then go and read my post on comparing the two palettes  Naked 2&3 palette

Lips:

First lets get the Lip Balms out the way as they are great but they are very boring! So I have a lot of lip balms as I have really dry lips because weird fact but when I concentrate  I lick my lips no reasons, don't know why but hey! So one crucial thing is a medicated lip balm which stops the dryness and redness and that one is Blistex Med Plus and boy does it work it's great I put it on every night before I go to bed and it stops my lips from being dry and red! Then just a normal lip balm I use the Nivea Milk and Honey one and this is amazing works a treat and I just apply it on my lips throughout the day.

Then on to the last bit a lipstick! This was my prom lipstick and I have fallen inlove with it, it's a perfect colour and matches my skin tone which is great and its a Mac Lipstick in the shade Hue and it's just a shimmery brown colour but with a hint of pink and it's so pretty so definitely one of my favourites! Then also my Kiko Glow Touch Lips and Cheeks in the shade 101 Venus Pink which is also a lovely light pink and its good because you can use it for lip and cheek bonus!

Then for the brushes a Mac 266 Angled Brush to fill my eyebrows in and a Sigma E65 Small Angle as a lip brush because I didn't want to buy a new one:S

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked this post and to check Abbie's Summer Makeup for her makeup routine for summer:)

Class of 2009-2014 ♡

So last week me and Alicia left High School! Apart from many...many tears I don't think we could of asked for a better leavers day or prom. I know Alicia did a post similar to this yesterday but I wanted to show my prom things and I'm also going to tell you a little bit about our leavers day.

Leavers day

Our leavers day was the 25th June, the day after the very last summer exam for this year. We started the day in our tutor groups until everyone had arrived before we moved into the maths block so all of year 11 were together in a separate building so we didn't disturb the rest of the school. This is where we did things like sign old shirts and year books or whatever people took in to get people to write in. We also took lots of pictures with our friends until we moved at break time to outside the canteen. Here we had a barbecue and teachers came to say good bye and sign things for us. We also started to say goodbye to people we wouldn't be seeing in a while as we got ready to go to our leavers assembly. The assembly consisted of year 7 photos, photos from trips we went on such as Venice, Italy and Baggeridge outdoor center, Big Brother style video diaries, year awards, thank yous, videos from our year 7 concert and many other things. Then everything came to a close. It was the time we had all been dreading, saying good bye. Although we would all be back together the next day at prom me, Alicia and our friends all still managed to spend far longer than socially acceptable crying to each other in a circle at the front of the lecture theater. Despite all of the tears we had a great day with all our friends that started all the excitement for Prom! Here are a few of the many pictures I have but as Alicia said yesterday we don't know if our friends would appreciate being put onto the internet so I just have a few.

I was slightly worried Alicia might kill me for these next 2 photos taken from the yearbook so I did have to ask if I could use them! Aha. But luckily she said yes! ENJOY YEAR 7 AND 8 ABBIE AND ALICIA!
Year 7 was definitely our year!
This is the biggest picture on a page about our little picking trip
WE'RE FAMOUS!

Prom!

On the 26th June we had our prom at a lovely golf club near our school.
My dress was from the Prom shop almost every girl from my school uses ,so you cant end up with the same as someone else because they keep a list, called Celebrity.

Because I have light hair and skin I decided that having a spray tan just wasn't for me. Instead I used the Dove Summer Glow nourishing body lotion. It is something you would only need to put on the night before because it really does tan your skin a lot just over night! It was great because I did it the night before but a few days after it started to go really patchy and not look very natural anymore so it might not be very practical for more than 1 day. When I had my dress on I also applied some Ted Baker bronzer that not only adds a small amount of colour it also has small bits of glitter in it so it adds a really nice shimmer.

I don't have a close up of my makeup because it was a bit of a rush after it was done as Alicia and the car arrived  early.  But my auntie very kindly did it for me and it was perfect! Just what I wanted as it wasn't too much but still looked like a lot of effort had been put in! But I do have pictures of my hair! I went to my normal hairdressers and 2 ladies called Lauren and Becky did it for me! It took 1 hour and a half for Lauren to pin curl my hair because of how thick and straight it is and then Becky did me a lovely waterfall plait going around my head and between them they added the clips I got from the prom dress shop. I was so happy with the outcome and once it was done everything became more real that it was actually happening!

For my shoes and bag I had them both from Dorothy Perkins and they were great! The bag was just the right size and with some gel insoles I got I managed to wear my shoes almost all night!

For jewellery I had a sparkly earring and necklase set from Warren James the jewellers  which I'm so glad I spotted! I also got a pandora bangle and charm which matched my dress really well! It was really nice because I didn't see anyone else in one so it was a bit different and also something to remind me of the day as the charm is the same colour as the dress.

Here are a few pictures I have! We went in a vintage gold Rolls Royce that was really cute and like Alicia said, the driver even managed to keep up with our sarcastic jokes which made the quite long drive alot more fun!

Sorry this post is so long I got a bit carried away! Now we are done with school expect more blog posts!
