Class of 2009-2014 ♡

So last week me and Alicia left High School! Apart from many...many tears I don't think we could of asked for a better leavers day or prom. I know Alicia did a post similar to this yesterday but I wanted to show my prom things and I'm also going to tell you a little bit about our leavers day.

Leavers day

Our leavers day was the 25th June, the day after the very last summer exam for this year. We started the day in our tutor groups until everyone had arrived before we moved into the maths block so all of year 11 were together in a separate building so we didn't disturb the rest of the school. This is where we did things like sign old shirts and year books or whatever people took in to get people to write in. We also took lots of pictures with our friends until we moved at break time to outside the canteen. Here we had a barbecue and teachers came to say good bye and sign things for us. We also started to say goodbye to people we wouldn't be seeing in a while as we got ready to go to our leavers assembly. The assembly consisted of year 7 photos, photos from trips we went on such as Venice, Italy and Baggeridge outdoor center, Big Brother style video diaries, year awards, thank yous, videos from our year 7 concert and many other things. Then everything came to a close. It was the time we had all been dreading, saying good bye. Although we would all be back together the next day at prom me, Alicia and our friends all still managed to spend far longer than socially acceptable crying to each other in a circle at the front of the lecture theater. Despite all of the tears we had a great day with all our friends that started all the excitement for Prom! Here are a few of the many pictures I have but as Alicia said yesterday we don't know if our friends would appreciate being put onto the internet so I just have a few.

I was slightly worried Alicia might kill me for these next 2 photos taken from the yearbook so I did have to ask if I could use them! Aha. But luckily she said yes! ENJOY YEAR 7 AND 8 ABBIE AND ALICIA!
Year 7 was definitely our year!
This is the biggest picture on a page about our little picking trip
WE'RE FAMOUS!

Prom!

On the 26th June we had our prom at a lovely golf club near our school.
My dress was from the Prom shop almost every girl from my school uses ,so you cant end up with the same as someone else because they keep a list, called Celebrity.

Because I have light hair and skin I decided that having a spray tan just wasn't for me. Instead I used the Dove Summer Glow nourishing body lotion. It is something you would only need to put on the night before because it really does tan your skin a lot just over night! It was great because I did it the night before but a few days after it started to go really patchy and not look very natural anymore so it might not be very practical for more than 1 day. When I had my dress on I also applied some Ted Baker bronzer that not only adds a small amount of colour it also has small bits of glitter in it so it adds a really nice shimmer.

I don't have a close up of my makeup because it was a bit of a rush after it was done as Alicia and the car arrived  early.  But my auntie very kindly did it for me and it was perfect! Just what I wanted as it wasn't too much but still looked like a lot of effort had been put in! But I do have pictures of my hair! I went to my normal hairdressers and 2 ladies called Lauren and Becky did it for me! It took 1 hour and a half for Lauren to pin curl my hair because of how thick and straight it is and then Becky did me a lovely waterfall plait going around my head and between them they added the clips I got from the prom dress shop. I was so happy with the outcome and once it was done everything became more real that it was actually happening!

For my shoes and bag I had them both from Dorothy Perkins and they were great! The bag was just the right size and with some gel insoles I got I managed to wear my shoes almost all night!

For jewellery I had a sparkly earring and necklase set from Warren James the jewellers  which I'm so glad I spotted! I also got a pandora bangle and charm which matched my dress really well! It was really nice because I didn't see anyone else in one so it was a bit different and also something to remind me of the day as the charm is the same colour as the dress.

Here are a few pictures I have! We went in a vintage gold Rolls Royce that was really cute and like Alicia said, the driver even managed to keep up with our sarcastic jokes which made the quite long drive alot more fun!

Sorry this post is so long I got a bit carried away! Now we are done with school expect more blog posts!

Prom 2014

Ahhhhh finally a blog post on mine and Abbie prom!!! It was amazing and actually felt like a dream! The venue was amazing and the views were amazing as it was at a golf club which meant good pictures! It was so pretty and the way the prom comity decorated everything was lovely and how the group pictures were done and we even had props to have pictures with! So this blog post is just some pictures of our prom and how me and Abbie arrived in style in our cute gold Rolls Royce!

First was my makeup which I loved we used a lady called Tamsen who is a makeup artist and  we knew from my hairdresser who got married, so we invited her round and had a few consolations as I could not decide how i was going to have my makeup the first trial the eyeshadow was way to dark and it really didn't look like me and I wanted to look back when I'm older and to be like 'omg look at little me' aha so then a few weeks later  I had another trial  and this time we used light browns and glitter and no fake eyelashes and it looked like me so that's the one I went for and I loved it!

Next was the hair and again had several trials as I could not make my mind up of how I wanted it so I started with to the side with lots of curls and then all down and then finally tired half up and half down and boom that was the one! I love my hair curly so my hairdresser just did tighter curls in my hair and pinned my fringe ( which is growing out) and some pieces of my hair to the back and pin it up to in a way make a ball of hair at the back of my hair aha! sounds ugly but it was so beautiful and we ended up buying some hair pins from the one and only Claire's and they were little pearl balls with diamonds in them they were so cute and went lovely with my dress!

Then my nails! These were prom nails/holiday nails and it took me ages to pick a colour as I have gel on so I have the colour for like 3 weeks so I have to really like it! I finally went for a colour called "cake pop" from CND and I went for crystals on my ring fingers and glitter tips on the rest sounds horrible and tacky but they are lovely and I plan on having the same colour on for my holiday and the same crystals on the ring finger as they were pricey but then I had exactly the same on my toes and had crystals scattered on my big toe as my shoes were peep toe and of course wearing sandals on holiday!

Next is the best part the dress and the accessories.... My dress was perfect I absolutely loved it and it fit my perfectly! I ended up having it made by someone who my family are friends with and this was only because 1)The sizes were too big in the prom dress shops for example put on a size 4 was too big and Abbie had the same problem with the sizes and 2)Nothing stood out to me and I didn't want anyone having the same dress as me:S anyway we went to Birmingham and brought all my fabric for the dress and it was a lovely experience picking the colours and seeing how it all went together and every couple weeks I would get pictures or she would come and I would try it on and I loved it and it was nice seeing how it all come together! The dress was baby pink with a corset back and scattered crystals on the bottom of the dress and a crystallised bodice and it was lovely I'm in love with it, and I'm so grateful that my mom agreed on it and I'm grateful for how much my parents did! Next are the bag and the shoes! My shoes were something that me and mom thought was a brill idea which was crystallised heels! So we went to next and brought some gold shimmery kitten heels and asked a lady called sparkle with emily who has done a lot for us ( and I really recommend her to everybody)to crystals my shoes and she did and they are so beautiful! I then forgot about a bag and this was a last minute buy as the shop that does my nails has a shopping area and I found the most delicate crystallised clutch which would go perfect with the dress and then I was done!

Then the car!! It was beautiful, me and Abbie went for a gold Rolls Royce and it was so pretty and vintage we really liked it and it was such a reasonable price so Thank you Kerry for finding it us. And the man who drove it was so nice and actually played along with mine and Abbie's sarcastic jokes we do so after he picked me up my mom followed me to Abbie's house were we met up and then travelled to the venue and it was such a surprise as we kept our dresses a secret and I don't know how we did that but we did!

Overall the night was amazing! And we really enjoyed it and the venue was lovely we had a load of pictures with our friends and group photos with silly props and stuff but I don't think they would appreciate me and Abbie putting pictures of them up on the internet;) I really hoped you enjoyed this post it's something different but I will be doing my holiday makeup and will post it before we go on holiday!

Thank you:)

Everyday Summer Makeup ♡

Over the last 2 weeks I have only been to school 5 times and only for a few hours because of study leave! Its been great and has meant that Iv had more time to make a bit of an effort with makeup and try new things. The weather has also been really nice so I started to think about summer makeup.
Makeup bag- Ted Baker
Me and Alicia also realised earlier in the week we have been blogging for just over a year! My first post on this blog was a few holiday makeup products so I wanted to do something similar 1 year on! These are some products that I have been loving using for a natural, everyday summery makeup look.

Face Base

Firstly I have been using the sample size Benefit The Porefessional primer. I love this and think that my makeup does stay with it on and it makes the other products go onto my skin much nicer. I then apply the Rimmel BB Cream in the shade Light if I'm having a bad skin day and want more coverage. I have been loving this for a long time as I don't wear foundation because I get worried that I'll end up with more spots and it also has SPF 25 which is obviously really good in the summer! Next I have only recently been using the Natural Collection (only at Boots) Concealer in the shade Fair. If you've read any of my other beauty related posts you will probably know that like about 90% of teenage girls I LOVE the Collection lasting perfection concealer but I went to 2 boots and neither had my colour so I went for this which was £1.99!! I was just going to use it until I could get a Collection one but I really like how this one is light which is good in the warm weather and also brightens under my eyes (not as well as the Collection one but for £1.99 I'm not complaining!) so I wont worry about getting another now. Lastly is pressed powder. I use the Avon color trend translucent powder. It's translucent so it literally sets makeup to keep it in place without adding any colour or extra coverage at all. The BB Cream alone can make your face look oily and shiny especially in the sun so a translucent powder is a great way to prevent that and give not a completely, but almost matte finish. To apply the BB Cream and concealer I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and for the powder I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which I do sometimes also apply concealer with aswell.

Eyes and Brows

I think the key to a natural everyday look is simple eye makeup. I use mascara and a shimmery product and that's it .Firstly for eye brows I use the models prefer eyebrow pencil and spoolie brush just to quickly fill my brows in and then I go through them with the Avon color trend crystal clear mascara too keep them in place. Next I use my all time favorite mascara Benefit Bad Gal Lash. A few coats of this and eyelashes instantly look long and voluminous even if like me you have really log eyelashes anyway it somehow makes them look longer! For eye shadow I sometimes use the Ted Baker rose gold cream shadow. I don't think you can buy these on there own so maybe go for a Maybelline colour tattoo in a rose gold colour instead. I rarely use that through as I don't want to use it all up so I often go for Benefits High Beam highlighter in the inner corner of my eye to make it brighter and Benefit Sun Beam in the outer corner, (Ted Baker also do really nice versions of these too!) and I blend them together in the middle with the Real Techniques Detailer Brush.

Cheeks and Lips

Lastly for cheeks and lips. For cheeks I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in the shade 050 Live Pink. Its a really pretty pink with a slight shimmer but once its been blended just leaves a really natural sheer finish. I blend this with the Real Techniques Contor Brush. I have also attempted to use the Benefit Posie Tint which is a lip and cheek stain on my cheeks but I haven't quite mastered blending that in yet so it just looks like a pink splodge on my cheek that slowly fades which doesn't exactly look very good believe it or not! So I stick to using it on my lips. It stains your lips a really pretty pink colour and lasts throughout the day even when the gloss I put on top has gone. On top I have been loving the Benefit Life on the A list lip gloss which I have rediscovered within my makeup collection. It smells really nice and lasts along time too.

There we go, my summer makeup look! I only realised when writing this that there is a lot of Benefit products which I know are quite pricey so sorry about that but there are many very similar alternatives in shops like Boots and Superdrug and boots also often do mini Benefit products in sets for a lot cheaper so look out for those!

16th Birthday

Finally I'm 16! Its great having my birthday in the summer but I have to wait so long for it! ANYWAY I'm currently writing this after my last exam which means no more school and no more exams for me and Abbie which is great but also means more blog posts! This blog post is what I got for my 16th birthday which was wednesday 11th June:) I didn't really do much I just revised as I had a maths exam but I had a lovely day and me and my family are going out for something to eat this weekend as a celebration for my birthday and end of exams!

So on the morning of my birthday I went down stairs where the living room was decorated with with 16 banners and baby pink ribbon on the door handles and a pile of prezzies and cards from my family! I also had 2 sixteen balloons by the presents and the cards it just added a nice touch to the whole thing!

When I went down all my presents were wrapped in cute little polka dot pink paper, it was so cute:D anyway on the the first present I opened was a money pot and I have wanted one of these for ages not to put money in but to just display and my mom and dad brought me one saying 'Princess Fund' with a cute message on the back and a big '16' and it goes with my room really well so thats great!

Then there was 2 pandora bags and I instantly fell in love they were both from my brother and it was something that I actually wanted and they were a pair of earrings and a charm for my bracelet! The earrings are just pink daises and I love them Abbie has the same ones and I loved them so I had to ask for them! Then I got a pandora charm which is very delicate with small diamonds in it because big charms look funny on my wrist as my wrist is small but it's just little flowers with diamonds in the middle, and it's perfect because I only wear 2 charms on my bracelet!

Then the next gift wasn't really a gift It was planned before my birthday about a couple months ago and it was that my mom was going to give me one of her new MK watches for my older MK watch which I was fine with and we were going to get the links taken out this weekend but as a surprise she did it while she was shopping for my birthday present! It's just a rose gold watch with a diamond face on with a watch bracelet as panther links which is really nice I think I just really like the design of it and I'm gland my mom wanted to trade with me because I loved this one!

The next present of my family was a massive surprise I never expected it and it was MK Bag and it was the Medium Jet Set Travel in black, and it's the most beautiful thing ever I have fell in love in with it and Im so grateful and shocked that my mom and dad brought me one but they also told me it was towards hard work for my exams but I plan on using it a lot and I thought it will be ideal for when we go on holiday as it's a decent size. The inside is also lovely and it's split into 2 by a large zip pouch where you can put more valuable things and I think thats a great idea and it's just the right size!

And lastly Abbie and her mom came round which was really nice and dropped my present off and I don't think you understand how excited I was because I got a mug and a keyring with '16' on as I  REALLY wanted a mug don't ask me why and it's a great mug for a cuppa. The keyring and the mug both have a cute little teddy bear on them holding a '16' so THANK YOU ABBIE! also Fraser he little brother made me a loom band which is the cutest thing ever so thank you!

Also a  week before my grandmar and par brought me a gnome and it was the best present ever I love it! It's know sitting in my garden where you can see it on the patio and everyone comments on him but when I leave home the gnome is coming with me. It's such a thoughtful but sill present but I love it so much!

Lastly mom got me a cake as a surprise so we had a piece of cake and a cuppa with my grandmar and grandad on the afternoon and it was lovely. I really enojyed my day with everyone and I wasn't at school which was a complete shock as I'm always at school for my birthday and it was a lovely day and Im so grateful for everything!
