Super Simple Makeup ♡

As I may have mentioned in a previous post I have horribly dry but oily and spot prone skin. But recently I think I have found a skin care routine that is actually working (touch wood) so I haven't been wearing much makeup purely because for the fist time in what feels like forever I actually don't need to! So this is makeup I'v been wearing to school and because I do a lot of dance this is the makeup that I always wear for that regardless of what my skin decides its doing because it always stays put.

First I put concealer under my eyes, on any redness and on spots and blemishes. I use the much loved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer because it has great coverage, isn't heavy at all and stays all day. I set that with the Avon Colour Trend Translucent Powder which is my favourite because its translucent so doesn't make your face look powdery and helps keep the concealer in place. Even when I'm just dancing I do like to fill in my eyebrows because they never look very full unless I'v just had them threaded. I use the Models Prefer Eyebrow Pencil and I literally fill in as little as possible or else it takes a while for me to get them even. For school I do also run my clear mascara through my brows to keep them neat. For my eyes I only wear mascara. I love the Models Own Hi-Definer Lashed-Up Volumiser Mascara in black because it reminds me of my favourite Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara which I do wear sometimes but the Models Own one is just as good and a lot cheaper! WIN! I only use that on my top lashes and I use the Avon Crystal Clear Mascara (I know it doesn't look clear but sometimes I use it over black mascara so that's why) on my bottom lashes. This prevents any mascara getting under your eyes through out the day and is a great thing to do if your going to be doing any exercise. Lastly I just use a Maybeline BabyLips lip balm on my lips. My favourite at the minute is the shimmery Peach Kiss but I also love Pink Punch.

I know we keep saying it but now all our exams for the year are done fingers crossed me and Alicia can post more regularly and I cant wait to start Christmas posts! I might do a skin care post next because as I mentioned I actually found one that works!

Back to school make up

Natural back to school make up look...

I'm going to show you the make up I use on a  day to day basis while at school. It's very light on your skin and doesn't move during the PE and dance I do throughout the day. This look is really quick and easy for in the morning and stays put all day which is good for if you don't take make up to school like me.

Before make up I moisturise my face with Simple Replenishing rich moisturiser. Some makeup dries your skin so a moisturiser before helps keep your skin hydrated all day.

Face
Firstly I apply Collection Lasting perfection conceler in the shade 02 light under my eyes on any spots and blemishes and around my nose. This is the conceler everyonr loves and I totally agree! Its good coverage but still light so its great for school. I then use the Collection pressed powder in the shade 10 Daydream to set the conceler and make sure it lasts all day. The next thing I like to do is put Models Prefere neutralising powder on my T-zone to cover oil that builds through the day. Im not sure this really works but I do it everyday and its only light so you have nothing to lose really. I apply the powders with my brush from Ted Baker.

Eyes
Eyes are kept very simple for this look. First I fill in my eyebrows with my Models Prefere eyebrow pencil. Then I curl my eye lashes because I have really long lashes and if I don't curl them everyday then they will end up in my eye some how which isn't fun! Then I apply a light coat of Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara because it lasts all day and doesn't end up under your eye like some mascaras do. I have recently started using a tecnique that I saw on a youtube channel called DailyMix when they did a series called beauty boot camp. It is to put a highloghter in the corner of your eye and it really opens your eye and just makes you look more awake which is just what you want if like me you wake up at the last minute and end up rushing to get to the bus stop. I use Benefits highlighter called Highbeam. To make sure the highlighter blends into the eye lid from the corner I use the Models Prefere shading brush.

Lips
I think for school you should stay away from colour on your lips because that kind of defetes the point of a natural make up look. The UK finally have Maybelline Baby Lips so they are great for just adding a little bit of colour because they are just like a tinted lip balm. Mine is called Peach Kiss and is just a light shimmer. If you want some colour on your lips maybe for picture day or something, I recommend Models prefere lip stick in the shade Sheer Pink Rose.

Blush
This is a step that is just for if you have time to blend it in but its blush. This is Benefit Coralista and its just a pretty pink colour which again might be nice for picture day.

As I said earlier I don't take make up to school except for a lipbalm and shine absorbing sheets which you will see in my next post- Whats in my school bag so look out for that!

Fashion and Beauty Haul...

Haul...

Make up...

£5

First I have this Models Own eye shadow which is called Silver & Silver Sparkle. This style eye shadow has always scared me a bit because I've never thought they can be used much as it just looks like big pieces of glitter. However, it is really sparkly but the big pieces of glitter kind of break down so it just goes onto the eyelid like a powder with glitter in it. I think this would be a good product to wear for a party because of how glittery it is.

£5

Top- Silver
Bottom- Purple

This second thing is another eye shadow by Models Own. It is one of their duos called Disco Diva DE008 which is a silver and purple. These are again really nice colours for parties and are not as dark as they look. As you can see from the swatch they are just purple and silver shimmers really.

£6
This mascara is honestly one of the best mascaras I have ever used! It is the Hi Definer Lashed-Up Volumiser by Models Own. Before i found this mascara my favourite was Bad Gal Lash by Benefit and this is very similar. They have the same shape brush so i think that's what makes them  so similar but this Models Own one is £6 and the Benefit one is £18.50! It adds thickness and volume witgout leaving clumps so is definitely worth trying!

£4
This is the Models Own Eye Shading Brush. It is really good for getting under the brow bone and in the crease and so is perfect for a smokey eye which is what I used it for today!

Nails...

If you have read the summer nails post I did then you will no how i feel about Angelica nail varnish so ill just say THEY ARE STILL AMAZING!! I got a Top Coat and a peach called Iced Sorbet which is from the Soft Satin Matt Effect collection. Its not as orange as it looks on the bottom picture its more of a pretty pastel peach.

Clothes and shoes...

The skirt i got was from the River Island sale. It was £10 from £22. Its cream lace and had a brown belt and gold buttons. The buttons are up the front which makes it a bit more unique. So you can see it fully I wore a white bandeu from New Look which you could probably wear  if your confident enough. If not a white crop top or vest top or a black vest top will also look nice.

£4

These black loafers are from Primark. I'm not sure how long they will last as they were just £4 but they will look nice with a skirt and to start back at school with my skirt in September.

Thank you for reading my first haul post! I hope you enjoyed!

Small note...

So posts will hopefully become more regular because me and Alicia have finished school for the summer until Wednesday 4th September so we will have more time. I have been working on a fashion post that has taken for ever! But hopefully it will be up next week some time. Alicia went on holiday today (lucky thing) so its just me for a while but expect some holiday themed posts when shes back!

Hair Accessories...

Hair Bows...

I love to wear hair bows all year round (thanks to MacBarbie07 CHANNEL) but especially in summer when the bright and pastel clothes come out to match. Here is my collection and 3 ideas of how you can wear them. Also I'm sorry for not knowing where I brought some of them from.

Lets start with the biggest one. This bright pink bow is really quite big (as you will see at the end) and was just £1!! It was from a cheap shop in the Walsall shopping center called Impulse. I had it as part of a costume for my dance show last week but have worn it a few times since because its such a nice bright, summery shade of pink.

Clips
Bobbles
These 2 lots of bows are ones which I bought when 1 went on holiday at the beginning of June to Spain. The top ones were from a 'Chinese shop' which was opposite our hotel and were about €1.25 for a pack of 2. Theses ones are really pretty pastel colours and the blue ones match our school uniform really well so i use them for school almost every day. They are also on really good clips that stay put all day. The bottom ones were also from a 'Chinese shop' called Super Euro and were €1 each. They are on bobbles so I use them to make a pony tail look more like you've tried with it and look really good in front of a bun too. We dont seem to get bows on bobbles in England from what I'v seen when iv looked so I wish is gotten some more while I was there.

These were the first pack of bows I owned and were brought for me a few years ago. I don't know how much they are but for some reason I have a feeling they are from George at ASDA? These are on grips and don't stay in my hair very well and move around quite a lot but they are really nice colours and designs. The red one is also a nice one for the Christmas period.

I love theses bows. They are such a nice girly colour and are perfect for summer. They were about £3 from New Look I think? I had these to wear for a wedding reception because they matched the pattern on my dress perfectly! (Dress is the background on THIS post). They are only small so also look nice on holiday around the pool.

My mom bought me these just a few weeks ago from Peacocks. They are good for the money because they were just £2.50 for all 3. The patterns are pretty and are just the right size but the clip isn't very strong so don't feel secure and I feel I keep needing to check they haven't moved but they usually have.

How to wear...

Here are 3 simple ways that I like to wear bows.

Doughnut bun

2 front pieces pulled back
Finish a Fishtail Braid

Mini Boots Haul....

Mini Boots Haul....

Hello, so finally after a week off exams and mocks I finally have some time to write my blog post which is just a mini haul.Last saturday I went shopping and brought a few things from boots I managed to not spend that much as I had to take self control over spending my money so why not get in to the haul.

Overview of the things I brought.

The first thing I brought was the new Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream  I absolutely love BB creams and I like to try different ones and this is defiantly in my top 5 know this BB cream is actually for oily skin which is great as sometimes i can get oily skin.It has great coverage as well but is very light on your skin so you can still get the coverage that you want and you will not have to wear foundation.
It looks very dark on here but I think its the lighting.

BB Cream
The next 5 things that I are all nail polishes i have a few Essie Nail polishes and two Barry M nail polishes. The first Barry M nail polish is the Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Print in the shade Papaya 319 which when applied looks like gel nails it is a perfect coral colour and would be perfect with a tan and only needs one coat .The second Barry M polish I brought is the Confetti Nail Effect in the shade Marshmallow 322 which is a baby pink with sprinkles in it  but feels a bit like velvet sprinkle it applies lovely to your nails and only needs one coat.
The next three I got were Essie Nail polishes,The first one I brought I have been looking for this shade for ages and I could never find it and that shade is Mint Candy Apple like Abbie said in her last post mostly every beauty guru on youtube has this colour and recommends it,its a mint kinda green colour and looks perfect when applied but will need two coats. The second Essie Colour I got is Full Stream Ahead  from the new Essie Summer 2013 collection its a nice light purple colour and you can't see it but has little bits of glitter in it.The last one I got is also from the 2013 Summer collection is called Sunday Funday  Its a pink/coral colour and is great from the summer hence that it is in the summer collection and it has again little bits of glitter in it.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail polish.

Barry M Confetti Effect

Essie Mint Candy Apple

Essie Full Stream Ahead

Best Items for summer

Best Items for summer....

Hello everyone I thought that I would  do a post on the best items for summer as soon I am going on holiday I have picked out a few of my favorite things that I bring with me on holiday from beauty essentials, hair essentials and my favorite nail polishes, so lets get started.

The first thing that is great to use in summer time or on holiday is a BB cream as its not heavy and still gives you that coverage that you are looking for,the one i have been using for along time know and have brought again is the 17 BB cream this is also good as it has SPF 25 in it so you you will not have to worry about not wearing suncream if you apply this BB cream.

The next thing  that is my all time favorite beauty product is a bronzer its from Benefit Hoola Bronzer this bronzer gives you a nice healthy natural glow and a "tan" all year round you can use this in the winter and the summer and it still is not a heavy product on your face I reccomend that if you tan and go a dark colour then don't wear this over the top as it can be dark its up to how much you apply.

The next thing is what I always take on holiday and wear nearly every day and that is lip balm, lip balm is crucial on holiday as chapped lips will not look nice with a tan, you can get lip balm from Boots that has SPF in them but you can also use normal ones. The ones i have are and EOS in tangerine  and the Nivea Milk and Honey when im on holiday i just slip these in my beach bag and just apply to my lips when I think I need to.
The next thing that always comes on holiday with me and what i have used for ages is the Moroccan Oil this is a great product that leaves your hair looking healthy and shiny it also gets rid of knots that are in your hair,I always apply this when my hair is wet and normally just comb though my hair.If you have naturally curly hair like me than this will be perfect every time you have a shower or your hair is wet just comb this through and it will make your hair look healthy, don't go overbaord with this and apply everyday as it might damage your hair.
Next is a couple of Essie nail polishes that i think are perfect for when you go on holiday Essie have a great range of all different summer colours and these are 2 of my favourite which are a purple and a pink. The purple is more of a lilac colour and has a little bit of a shimmer in it so when you move your hand it sparkles you will need 2 coats of this to be able to see it in full affect the name of this colour is She's Picture Prefect. The next is a kind of a baby pink but still very bright this has been my all time favorite ever since i have brought it and have always wore it on my toes and finger nails the name of this colour is Lovie  Dovie trust me this colour looks better on with 2 coats.
Also another thing that me and my mom use a lot on holiday is the Benefit silky glimmering body balm this adds a light shade of a gold shimmery pink sheen to your legs and putting it on top of tan legs gives them a nice healthy glow. Its also a very soft product to apply and isn't sticky when applied.
The last thing that is my all time favorite is the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume  this perfume has a very summery fruity smell to it and makes you feel fresh, the big bottle will be worth the money as you once you smell it you will get addicted, the bottle it also comes in is very cute and summery,we always buy on at the airport in duty free so we don't have to carry one over in the suitcase.

What are your items for summer?

Fragrance Collection

My current fragrance collection...

I own a few different body sprays and perfumes... well quite a lot actually! So I'm going to share some of them with you... Enjoy!

Perfumed deodorant
I do a lot of dance and perfumed deodorants are like a strong body spray so i think they're perfect to keep in the bottom of a dance or PE bag. In my opinion they are not strong enough  to use just as a deodorant but to put on just before and after exercise they're great!
Left to right
Adidas- Floral dream
Adidas- Pure lightness
Adidas- Fruity rhythm (my personal favorite)
Slazenger- Vitalize

Body Spray

I have many body sprays and Impulse is my favorite brand. I like to just spray it in a morning and they are strong enough on their own so there is no need for perfume too. You will notice the travel size Impulse sprays are the same scent as the bigger bottles as these are probably my top 3 from the brand and I have multiple bottles of ' True Love'. If you haven't already tried Impulse i would definitely recommend them.

So...?- Superstar
Impulse- Very very pink
Impulse- True love
Impulse- Into glamour
So...?- Kiss me

Perfume
Sorry again for bad lighting my camera seems
to like to flash recently...

I like very summery and fruity scents which are the ones i wear in the day but to go out i have more... grown up scents? I'm obviously not very good at describing perfumes.I am also drawn to the bottles and am likely to buy perfume just because its in a pretty bottle. But anyway perfumes 1,3,4 and 5 are all my day time ones and the others night time.
Left to right
1) Justin Bieber - Someday
2) Next - Diamonds
3) Barbie (I'v had this years so don't know the name)
4) Britney Spears - Curious
5) Taylor Swift - Wonder struck
6) Next - Flowers (My bottle is a travel size but i will be purchasing a bigger one)
7) Playboy - Play it lovely

As you can see none of these individual fragrances are particularity expensive so can be good if your on a budget.

What are your favorite fragrances?
