Makeup Haul......

So what do I do when I have christmas money to spend.... well I got in to Selfridges and buy makeup yay... well not really have spent all my life saving's on my new Nars Makeup! I have came to the conclusion that Nars is lovely and my skin actually likes it as well which is a great start as my skin is funny with makeup products! I originally went in to Nars to buy myself some tinted moistures and a new mascara but I also got sucked in to the new Spring collection of blushes and lipsticks!

Satin Lip Pencil:
I don't normally wear anything on my lips really but when I saw this lip pencil which is called Stourhead-9213 I completely fell in love with it! Its just a light baby pink in a pencil form and its lovely to apply and I normally just put a lip balm on top so that my lips don't dry out!

Blush:
I have been trying to find the perfect blush for along time now and I couldn't find a nice one in Mac so I kinda gave up on looking however when the lady showed me the new blushes I fell in love with one called Love-4041 and its a darker pink but still light at the same time it's gorgeous and I really recommend it, I just smile and apply it to the apples of my cheeks and it just adds a bit of colour on my face for the dull winter months!

Mascara:
Unfortuantly my favourite mascara of all time has finally ran out which was a Lancome one which is limited edition and I couldn't find it anywhere so I just went ahead a brought a Nars one! I have been looking at reviews of the Nars mascara and I have heard good thing about them so I went ahead and brought one and I love it! Its the Volumizing Mascara Black-7006 I also love the packaging of the mascara because its a black matte but it does make your eyelashes look bolder and longer and I really recommend it!

Tinted Moisturizer:
Finally getting on to the product I originally went to buy! Im all for trying new tinted moisturisers as I don't wear any foundation as I don't really need it. I decided to try this out as I had ran out my Mac tinted moisturiser and I have had bad experainces with the people in Mac around my area in town and I told myself I wouldn't buy from that store again as it's the only one where I live so I decided to treat myself to this one and it's lovely the converage is brilliant and it covers any little irritating spots that pop up and it smells devine I love it! It doesn't lie heavy on my skin either which is a positive, the lady did a colour test on me so I knew what colour I was going for and I went for Light1 Finland-2321

I hope you like this post and comment what Nars makeup you own and if you want us to do anymore post related to makeup and stuff like that! We are finally back on the blogging game as we have a routine going know so still full up to our necks with school work but also succeeding at blogging!
Thank youuuuuuu

Rimmel Foundation Review ♡

I was so excited to open the October edition of Company Magazine and find a sample for the new Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation! I don't wear foundation on a daily basis but I like to if I'm going out somewhere because I feel like I'v made more of an effort and my face looks nicer. Last Sunday I went to a christening (See THIS post for a OOTD) so I tried it out and this is what I thought!

This foundation is a really nice texture. It is smooth and applies nicely to the skin. It reminds me of the Rimmel BB Cream but with more coverage. I think the texture is like a mix between the Rimmel BB Cream and the Maybeline Dream Matte Mousse which I also love. The sample was in the shade 100 Ivory which luckily was perfect for my skin but I haven't seen it in a shop yet so don't known if they do many different shades. It is lightweight and with some concealer very easily makes your skin look perfect. I didn't go shihny until towards the end of the day and it was a warm day so I was very impressed. It is very natural looking which is what Rimmel were looking for with the line 'Cake no more'. It is in boots for £5.99 which I definitely think is reasonable if your looking for a good drug store foundation.

Maybeline Dream Matte Mousse- £7.69
Rimmel BB Cream- £6.99
Rimmel Stay Matte- £5.99
(All prices are from Boots)

I know the colours aren't the same but you can see the similar textures in this picture.

Overall I think that this is a very nice and affordable foundation that I would buy in the future

Baby Lips❤

Finally Baby Lips have landed in the UK yes yes im late writing a blog post about them but I just couldn't resist! I have got 4 of the famous baby lips I have Peach Kiss, Pink Punch, Hydrate, Repair. They are all so nice and add a lovely texture to you're lips and they are great if you don't want to wear a lipgloss but still want some colour then these are perfect! I have not purchased all of them yet but I might be having a full collection of baby lips very soon!

Pink Punch
This one is the brightest I own and it adds such a nice colour to my lips and its not overpowering either it look natural on and I normally wear this for school as it is noticeable but doesn't stand out alot!

Hydrate
Hydrate is by far my most used and I love it! It just adds a very sheer clear coat to your'e lips and just keeps them soft.... I use this one everyday as its just nice to keep your'e lips looking nice and soft! I really recommend this one as it has helped me with sore lips!

Peach Kiss
Peach kiss is just a light nude colour with a hint of sparkle in I think! This one adds a lovely natural colour to your'e lips!

Repair
When I brought this is also brought the blue one but when I got home I saw that they were nearly both there for the same use! The yellow one is the same as the blue one really but is there to repair your'e lips then to hydrate them! I recommend both but I personally think that the Blue one does repair and hydrate where as I think the yellow isn't that effective.

Leave a comment if you have tried baby lips and if so why is it your'e favourite?!
Thank you for reading

Skin Care Routine

I have recently started looking after my skin a lot more than usual which I know is a must and that you should always look after your skin! My skin is lovely and I am totally spot free  I know I am very lucky with my skin and I feel terrible because some people with spot's have tried all different types of products that will help with their skin but sometimes it makes it worse for them and im guilty because I never used to look after my skin the only thing I used to do was remove my makeup with makeup wipes! So I'm going to show you how I look after my skin know so with out further a do lets get started!

Step 1:
* Garnier Clean and Soft Complete Cleansing Wipes (£2.17), I have been using these facial wipes since I have started wearing makeup my mom recommended them to me and ever since then I have never brought or used any different cleansing wipes.I really recommend these cleansing wipes because they are so soft they smell pleasant and they remove your makeup perfectly. And this is what I use to remove my makeup every night it's also good at removing the dirt off your face because you don't want a dirty face!

Step 2:
*Nivea Pure & Natural Cleansing Lotion (£2.30), I use this cleansing lotion every night before I go to bed I apply it to a large cotton wool pad which you cant get from Boots, Superdrug and also supermarkets.Once I have applied a fair amount on to the cotton wool pad I just apply that to one of my cheeks and just make sure that its spread around the cheek evenly I then do the same to my other cheek then to my forehead just my whole face really and I just try to rub it in as much as I can, you can see the dirt that has been on your face all day on the cotton wool pad but this helps alot to remove all the grubby things that are on your face.

Step 3:
*Nivea Pure & Natural Cleansing Toner (£2.24), When I have applied the Cleansing Lotion to my face I get another large cotton wool pad and just squirt some of the Cleansing Toner on to the large cotton wool pad and just go around my face just wiping off the Lotion that I had put on before, you can  see the dirt on the cotton wool pad when you remove it which shows that the Makeup remover wipes don't remove all of the grubby things that are on to your face all day even though you can't even see them! The Cleansing toner honestly looks like water if you ask my but anyway... When I finish with this my skin feels so soft and refreshed.

Step 4:
*Nivea Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover (£3.39), I use this again every night just to remove my eye makeup as I always wear my eye shadows and mascara because im obsessed with making my eyes look pretty so I just apply this to a large cotton wool pad and just wipe over my eye lids and just my eye lashes to get an mascara that didn't come off with the makeup wipes.

*******Another thing I also do is not something I do every night because I don't go in the shower every night but when im in the shower I just wash my face with just the hot water from the shower and just cup it in my hands and splash my face.**********

I also hope to add another thing to my skin routine which is the Clarisonic Brush in pink so if anyone has one just comment and tell me what they are like as I might need to purchase a pink Clarisonic Brush!

And thats it thats my skin routine for you I would honestly try these products if I were you because they are fantastic! Thank you!

Little Side Note:
Me and Abbie have not been posting alot lately as we didn't know what to write about but we are back up and running again! We will probably be doing a whats in my school bag? Maybe we could start a back to school series even though it might be a little late know but we could do advice anything that you need help with about school that just a little idea!

Best Items for summer

Best Items for summer....

Hello everyone I thought that I would  do a post on the best items for summer as soon I am going on holiday I have picked out a few of my favorite things that I bring with me on holiday from beauty essentials, hair essentials and my favorite nail polishes, so lets get started.

The first thing that is great to use in summer time or on holiday is a BB cream as its not heavy and still gives you that coverage that you are looking for,the one i have been using for along time know and have brought again is the 17 BB cream this is also good as it has SPF 25 in it so you you will not have to worry about not wearing suncream if you apply this BB cream.

The next thing  that is my all time favorite beauty product is a bronzer its from Benefit Hoola Bronzer this bronzer gives you a nice healthy natural glow and a "tan" all year round you can use this in the winter and the summer and it still is not a heavy product on your face I reccomend that if you tan and go a dark colour then don't wear this over the top as it can be dark its up to how much you apply.

The next thing is what I always take on holiday and wear nearly every day and that is lip balm, lip balm is crucial on holiday as chapped lips will not look nice with a tan, you can get lip balm from Boots that has SPF in them but you can also use normal ones. The ones i have are and EOS in tangerine  and the Nivea Milk and Honey when im on holiday i just slip these in my beach bag and just apply to my lips when I think I need to.
The next thing that always comes on holiday with me and what i have used for ages is the Moroccan Oil this is a great product that leaves your hair looking healthy and shiny it also gets rid of knots that are in your hair,I always apply this when my hair is wet and normally just comb though my hair.If you have naturally curly hair like me than this will be perfect every time you have a shower or your hair is wet just comb this through and it will make your hair look healthy, don't go overbaord with this and apply everyday as it might damage your hair.
Next is a couple of Essie nail polishes that i think are perfect for when you go on holiday Essie have a great range of all different summer colours and these are 2 of my favourite which are a purple and a pink. The purple is more of a lilac colour and has a little bit of a shimmer in it so when you move your hand it sparkles you will need 2 coats of this to be able to see it in full affect the name of this colour is She's Picture Prefect. The next is a kind of a baby pink but still very bright this has been my all time favorite ever since i have brought it and have always wore it on my toes and finger nails the name of this colour is Lovie  Dovie trust me this colour looks better on with 2 coats.
Also another thing that me and my mom use a lot on holiday is the Benefit silky glimmering body balm this adds a light shade of a gold shimmery pink sheen to your legs and putting it on top of tan legs gives them a nice healthy glow. Its also a very soft product to apply and isn't sticky when applied.
The last thing that is my all time favorite is the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume  this perfume has a very summery fruity smell to it and makes you feel fresh, the big bottle will be worth the money as you once you smell it you will get addicted, the bottle it also comes in is very cute and summery,we always buy on at the airport in duty free so we don't have to carry one over in the suitcase.

What are your items for summer?

Holiday Makeup

My Holiday Makeup Essentials...

Makeup bag- Ted Baker
I recently went on holiday to Spain and so I thought I would share the makeup I took with me. I wore all of the products except the dark Ted Baker eye shadow and Soap and Glory lip butter balm.

Lets start with the lips! I'm going to go in order of the swatches in the top picture.
Firstly i took Estee Lauder in the colour 82- Palace Pink. This is a really vibrant pink and perfect for the summer! It stays put for a few hours and looks amazing with a clear or nude gloss over the top.  Next is Benefit 'Life on the A list'. It is a really subtle pretty pink colour that again stays on perfectly! It is a sticky lip gloss though so if you don't like that this probably isn't the best gloss for you. Then i have a Lancome Juicy Tube in the shade 'Disco Melon'. This is the best smelling lip gloss EVER! It is not as orange as it looks and is great for everyday use. I t is also quite sticky and doesn't stay put for very long but I'v had this tube for almost a year and it doesn't look like much has gone which is amazing considering how much i use it. Soap & Glory 'Smooch operator' is great for dry lips and lasts for ages. I'm still on my first pot and use it frequently.

These are the 3 face products I took with me.
I don't wear or even own a foundation so i like to use Rimmels BB cream. It is a 9 in 1 perfecting make up that primes, moisturises, minimises pores, conceals, covers, smooths, mattifies, brightens and helps protect. It has SPF 25 so really protects you skin when out in the sun whilst still looking natural. It is very lightweight and you don't feel like your wearing it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! Next is the Avon colour trend pressed powder in 'Translucent'. This is my favorite powder i'v ever tried and will definitely be repurchasing. Lastly i took the Ted Baker compact bronzer. Mine is from the 'A star is born' box so i dont know if you can get it separately but it is also my go to bronzer as it gives you a bit of colour but isn't to pigmented.
For some reason my camera felt the need to flash which is why the lighting is
so dodgy, sorry!
Lets start with mascara. First i have the travel size Benefit ' They're real' mascara which is just brilliant! it does exactly what it says and can be made into a subtle natural daytime look or an evening party look. Believe it or not although it looks black the next mascara is Avon colour trend 'Crystal Clear' i don't use this as a clear mascara usually, i use it to keep mascara on longer but i used this for days spent around the pool with no other make up just to make me look more awake. The 3 eye shadows are Ted Baker again from the ' A star is born' box so they may not be sold seperatly. They are gold, pink, grey and stay on really well with no creasing though the pink isn't as thick so sometimes drops below the eye when applying. They are also really pigmented.

On the right you can see my eye brow pencil. I have light blonde hair so trying to find a pencil that wasn't to dark was a bit of a challenge but this really is perfect! Its Models Prefer and also has a good brush on the opposite side. The other 2 brushes are Ted Baker from the 'A star is born' box. They are great and really soft. The eye shadow brush is particularly soft and i love how the blush brush (I'm not sure if its a blush one) is pink at the tip.

What are your holiday essentials?
