Beauty & Fashion Haul ♡

WE'RE BACK! Todays post is the first of many from now on! Me and Alicia have done most of our exams now (12 down 4 to go for me!) so we are only going to school for revision and exams before our sixth form induction days and leavers day! This means more blog posts (especially in the lead up to prom!) because we are almost done!  

Because of exams I haven't been shopping for ages so I just have a few things that either my mom has picked up for me or I got a while ago so I'm going to show you them. Also I had to take the pictures really quickly because my camera kept dying and didn't like the battery's I tried to use so some of the photos aren't the best quality.

Hair

Firstly I have some hair products. I have 2 VO5 products that I haven't used before but they were on offer in Boots so my mom picked them up. The VO5 Heat Protect styling spray is so nice! It smells really good, which is basically all I look for in beauty products, and works really well too. I wanted a heat protect spray because I have been using a lot more heat on my hair than I usually would because Iv recently discovered how nice a high pony tail looks with loose curls. It says that it works at up to 230 degrees which I'm not sure if it does as I'm not sure how hot my curlers get but it definitely does the job for me. The second VO5 product I got is the refresh me quick dry shampoo. I believe this is more expensive compared to the Batiste dry shampoo that most people (including me usually) use but I think although they both do a similar job, I prefer this one. It feels lighter, isn't as chalky, smells really good and you don't have to spend ages making sure you don't have white hair because it isn't such a thick consistency. Lastly for hair, I just have the Boots firm hold hairspray. I never spend much on hairspray because apart from curls, my hair holds styles pretty well because its so thick, so this is just a really nice one to use because the bottle is huge so lasts a long time.

Beauty

I only have 2 beauty products. The first is the Clinique super balanced makeup fouundation in the shade 03 ivory. I didnt actually buy this product my auntie gave it to me when she was doing my prom makeup trial. She bought it and stopped usimg it because she found a number 7 one she prefered. It looks so natural so is perfect for prom in my opinion and I have used it once since then and it blends really nicely both with your fingers and with the Real Tecniques expert face brush. Secondly something I have had for a while and was a repurchase, the Boots cosmetic soft sponge wedges. These are a pack of 4 but I have one in my makeup box at the minute and are good for applying concealer to any spots so your brushes don' t get germs on them because you can just use the end and cut it off the sponge. Definatly a make up collection must have!

Fashion

Firstly I have some shoes. These are the Low Leather white mono converse from office. They are so nice on there own but I got swarovski crystals put on mine. Alicia has some crystalised converse that are so nice so I decided to get some too. You buy the converse and send them off to get the crystals put on but luckily for me, the musical theater teacher at the dance school I teach at on a Saturday does them so she did mine. I love them and think they will be so nice in the summer especially in the sun but for now I'v just had to wear them on the 2 sunny days we have had since I got them because I'm worried the crystals could come off in the rain if they get wet.

I brought the white tank top and denim jacket at the same time from New Look because I thought they would look really nice together. The top is a bit big so it hangs a bit low but I'm gonna just tac the straps at the back or something because its too pretty with the daisy detailing not to wear. I paired this recently with some H&M jeggings (bellow) and it looked really nice and will look good with the white converse too. The jacket is just a simple light wash denim that I have already worn so much because it goes with literally anything! I have rolled up the sleeves because I think it looks better like that and if I'm wearing a watch or bracelet the sleeves cover it up if they're just left normal. The last item I have is a recent find as i brought it on Sunday from the Trafford Center in Manchester because I went to Manchester to find the Etihad stadium because I'm going to see One Direction there on Friday so my mom needed to find out where it is before its mayhem on Friday! Anyway we decided to just stretch our legs in the shopping center which I'v never been to (and is huge and amazing!) but I only got a vest top from Hollister. It has really pretty lace on the sleeves and is a bright pink that will look really nice with some denim shorts in the summer.It has the words 'Beach Daze' on it to which I love because it just sounds summery?! I wore it yesterday with the denim jacket, leggings and converse (bellow) and it was a really nice simple outfit.

How to style ♡

Grey jumper...

I recently treated myself to this gorgeous Topshop jumper. Its plain grey at the front but has heart shaped tartan elbow patches.  I made day time, more casual, and an evening, more formal, outfits with this jumper and got compliments from friends and family on both... WIN!

This outfit is comfortable and warm for the chilly autumn days. It could also be made a little more smart with some black flat ballet pumps instead of converse but I love this outfit because it's comfortable but still looks really nice.

This outfit looks a lot smarter with the shirt underneath and if you wear a pretty shirt like I did then you can take off your jumper if its hot and still have a smart evening look. My leggings are Jazz dance leggings, but I know not everyone will have them so I'm sure that disco pants will look just as good. I also wore my Thomas Sabo and Pandora charm bracelets.

Fashion Magazines...

4 Fashion Magazine Reviews...

I'm a big fan of fashion magazines and they are what really made me want to be apart of this blog with Alicia and hopefully one day be able to write for one of the top fashion magazines in the country! (I like to dream big) So here is my opinion of 'Vogue', 'Elle', 'Company' and 'Cosmopolitan'... Enjoy!

Vogue!

Vogue is probably one of, if not the best known fashion magazine in the world! This is the first issue I bought, it's the December 2012 and I had always wanted to read Vogue but as I was only 14 at the time I always thought I was too young. However, This issue has a huge One Direction section so I just had to buy it!It was the first fashion magazine I'd ever read front to back and I loved it! I'm glad I kept it because at 14 I didn't really appreciate it as much as I could of but since iv gone back threw it and found many outfit ideas and little tips&tricks I can safely say it doesn't disappoint. At 15 I'm probably still a bit young for Vogue but Teen Vogue isn't very easy to get your hands on in England so I enjoyed this just as much as I would the teen version I think! 

Age- I think people age 16-18+ will probably love and appreciate this magazine

Rating out of 5- 3.5 - purely because I think its a bit old for me at the moment

Elle

June 2013's Elle magazine featured Miley Cyrus... whats not to love?! Elle is definitely one of my favourite fashion magazines because it has lots of tips, interviews with people who know what they're talking about and I'v never been so engrossed in a magazine before! I literately couldn't put it down! I dont know what else to say other than its amazing, I love it and I think you will too! So get a copy and see what you think! Company

I have never wanted to fan girl over a magazine so much in my life... As much as I love the other magazines Company is definitely my favourite! Urgh I just LOVE it! Its bright and colorful and each one has a fun spine with a quirky title. Company is a magazine that as long as my local supermarket has it I will buy it. Again I don't know what to say except its amazing and if you don't get it your missing out big time! Company have an Instagram account that I love too which you should take a look at: Companymagazine .Just a side note Company if your looking for a feature writer of some sort I'm sure I can fit time into my busy fangirl life ;)

Cosmopolitan

I thought Cosmopolitan was more of a fashion magazine which is why I bought it but I was wrong... Its definitely too old for me and wasn't really to my taste. However, I did enjoy the fashion section and I enjoyed reading it but I probably wont be buying it again for a while. I wanted to include it incase anyone else thought it was a fashion mag like me but ill be sticking to Company for now... Sorry!

Age- 16-18+

Rating- 2.5- I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought but when I'm older ill definitely try it again!

Summer Lookbook 2013...

Outfits for summer 2013....

Iv put together a little look book of outfits I have been loving and wearing during this heatwave we had for a few weeks in the UK. So here are some ideas for outfits to wear over the summer. Also the shop name will be a link to their website so you can see if they have anything you like as some of the clothes are no longer available. ENJOY!..

Outfit 1,

This outfit is really comfortable because the shorts are so soft but it still looks nice to go out and meet friends or something.

This is another comfortable outfit. The vest is the same as in outfit 1 as are the shorts but just a different pattern. Also these canvas pumps are literally like walking on clouds! Seriously  they are super comfy!

Outfit 3,

I wore this outfit to an activity day we had at school where we got to chose some were to go for the day. Some choices were Water world, Drayton Manor, Snow dome and a few more. I chose to go to Star city which meant being in a cold cinema for a few hours so I needed a practice outfit that's cool to be outside and warmer to be in the cinema and I ended up wearing this.

This is an outfit I would wear when it is really warm because the vest top is very thin and the shorts are comfortable considering they are denim. I wore this for the last day of school because the whole school and staff sit in the sports hall for about an hour for a whole school assembly so it was going to get quite hot!

Dream Job? Well I have always wanted to be a singer but one I don't have the confidence and two I don't even think im a good singer anyway back to real life I would love to be a journalist and work for a fashion magazine as I love writing blog posts and reading all sort of fashion magazines and really enjoy fashion and beauty.

Last Concert you went to? I actually can not remember what the last concert I went to but i know it was defiantly not the Believe Tour as that was 27th February and I wish it would be that day again.But i seriously can not remember the last concert I went to :S

Favorite item of clothing? Well my favorite item's of clothing will have to be dresses, any kind of skrits and peter pan tops and just nice tops in general

Favourite Makeup Product? I have loads of favourite makeup products but my favourite has to be my Naked Palette wich I use everyday I love the colours in it as I am a big fan of light shimmery glittery brown colours and the palette is just a lovely palette in general.

Favourite Nail Polish? Well a little secret about me and nail polishes is that I have way to many and don't even use them that much but I totally adore pink colours like im in love with glitter and baby pink colours but I always have gel on my nails so I don't know why I buy so many of them but they get their use when my brother's girlfriend comes round and paints her nails... Back to favourite nail polish my favourite has to been a Models Own  and the colour is Buff Pink (I think).

Favourite Movie? well I couldn't just pick one could I? Im totally obsessed with movies and a few of my favourite are The Notebook and I cry every time, the second one I picked was The Pacifier  and seriously this is my favourite movie ever and also Never say never  has to be my favorite movie as well and I cry every time as Justin is like my idol okay..... ALSO another favourite movie is Easy A  I made Abbie watch this round mine and we were in tears laughing at it and singing to it.. Then obviously Mean Girls  and White Chicks  and She's the man ------ Classic films. And the last one is Bring it on all or nothing  and I watched nearly all of them!

obsessed with movies and I don't go a day without watching a movie im a sucker for Romantic movies and disney movies but shhh.

Ever Met a Celebrity? I have met alot of youtubers who are my favourite youtubers but sadly I still have not met Justin yet and hopefully that will happen very soon.I met two youtubers called CTFxC with a married couple called Alli & Charles Trippy and Zoey and Marley,and this is their youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/CTFxC).I met Charles for the first time at his bands concert which is We The Kings we queued until 2 in the morning with a huge crowd and honestly it was amazing.The second time I met them we travelled down to London to meet them Acklam village when they were on the Contiki Road trip.On the trip we also meet another couple on youtube named BFvsGF and PrankVsPrank http://www.youtube.com/user/BFvsGF and we met them in London.We had travelled how long on a train with me passing out so I don't look too good.

Favourite city? Well my favourite city is probably London I have been many times and also with bunch of friends for a geography trip which was nice but I got alot with my mom as well and what I love the most is mainly all the scenery and obviously the shopping I mean I think I might be a shopaholic but.... Also New York is my favourite city of all time this year im hoping in october I will be flying over their to explore and shop and bring back something from Brandy for Abbie because im a good friend.

Somewhere i would really like to vist?Im honestly so lucky as I have been to different places like America and I have visited many times but I would love to go to Bora Bora and Hawii as they look like such a nice and calm place and lets put it this way the ocean is a pure blue colour...

Favourite Holiday? Im saying this again I am very lucky as I have been to many places that I adore for example I have been to Florida twice 1st time with my whole family and 2nd time with my mom dad and brother and it was amazing and i totally loved it and the rides! I have also been to Greece and Spain alot and enjoyed that so much and this year im going to Cyprus and New York im very grateful for all of this and enjoy every holiday that I have been taken on.

Favourite book? Okay im a real book worm just like my dad and enjoy reading books I have read many books on my kindle as it is easier to buy books and read them like that but I am just starting to read Bird Song which will help me in history yes im a nerd but it's a good book so far and its a good movie,I have also read nearly all the Hunger Game's books and loved them THE MOVIE NEEDS TO COME OUT FASTER! My favourite author is Cathy Hopkins and i have read nearly all her books I love them...

Last book you read? Million Dollar mates by Cathy Hopkins,Her books are amazing! I read alot of books but I think this was my most recent one due to being busy with exams and playing animal crossing on the DS because im a loser and im obsessed with the game...

Favourite Memory?I have loads of memories but my main favourites are seeing Justin in concert many times and being lucky to be able to be so close to my idol it was just amazing and be able to experience the atmosphere!My second one would be going to Italy with my friends and school I really enjoyed spending time with them and have loads of great memories from it and we even managed to get Abbie to swim;) the worst thing was the 32 hour bus ride and I and even ripped my joggers half way through the journey all the way down the back not good.... but these will always be memories that wills stop with me forever.

Pets?Okay well my mom and me are totally obsessed with animals and my mom used to have pigs, sheep and cows and chickens and the normal pets like dog and cats when she was young so she has grown up around animals and thats what made me love animals so much as my moms side adores animals and i take after them.. I have  guinea pig called Bugsy/Piggy and I i honestly love him to death he was named after Bugsy from Bedtime stories as he looks exactly the same as the Guinea pig in the movie he is 4 Years old and is a babe!I also have a British Short Hair  kitten and he is black with pumpkin coloured eyes and he is  called Zorro and honestly he is such hard work he is a house cat as he was a lot of money due to my mom wanting a Pedigree cat he is honestly still a kitten and he is the size of a small dog....

Injuries? Don't even start me with this.... okay well I have broken my knee several times (7 times :S) put it this way me and my mom have a good bond due to being in A&E many times for alot of hours.They honestly don't know what is wrong with my knee and I have had an MRI and they don't seem to see what is wrong I have been in many full leg casts which might I add are very horrible I have had them on for 6-8 weeks and sometimes im lucky 2 weeks! I have been given a knee brace and I have only just stopped wearing this as I last broke my knee at christmas and only got it off at the end of May and I am going to phsyio which is great... not.... I also pass out alot have other medical things put it this way they all seem to know me at the hospital....Trust me breaking your knee is a very painful thing....

Fears? Well I don't have that many fears but I really don't like heights so thats one fear but my worts fear ever is spiders i seriously can't even deal with spiders if I see one I think I automatically go in to shock I hyperventilate and i just cry don't ask my why i just do they always seem to be in the house when i come back from doing something eg when I went to Venice with school no spiders all week said my mom I walk in boom a spider runs straight at me...


Fanbase? Why are they your idol? Well im a proud Belieber and I bet your wondering well Alicia is a Belieber and Abbie is a one direction fan how do you survive with each other? well I don't know aha! I have been a proud belieber since 2009 when i found Justin's Youtube Channel i remember him covering Alicia Keys Fallin and this is when I had just gotten my own laptop and was looking at Alicia Keys songs on youtube and found Justin and ever since then I have just been there for him.I am so proud of how far he has come and how he has grown up and how he deals with things and i just love how he interacts with us and how we are part of his family im so proud of him and how far he has come and I will always be here for him.And im so lucky to be able to see my idol three times the first was the My world tour which was amazing and my second was a secret location concert which i won tickets to and the third was the Believe tour and honestly it was amazing im so grateful for Justin and he makes me happy PROUD TO BE A BELIEBER!
