What's in my school bag....

Its that time of year guys... Back to school:( I go back to school on the 4th September and still have a pile of work that needs doing but anyway I thought it would be nice to share with you my school supplies and what I take to school in my school bag.Me and Abbie are both going in to year 11 this year which means more exams more work and work as hard as you can, however at the end of the tunnel there is always an outcome and that will be prom yay!

This year I wanted to try a new bag which is a tote bag I normally have an over body bag but just hang it off my shoulder and this year tote's were in so I thought why not get a lovely tote bag! I loved the colour of this one as my school uniform is black so I wanted to find a bag with more colour but for some reason shops only seem to like black tote bags! I did find a lovely bag which was in topshop but I didn't buy it there and then and know its sold out and I can't seem to find it so I did try everywhere for the same one but unfortunately could not find one like that anywhere.... BUT I went to Primark  and found this lovely cream/tan coloured tote bag hopefully it will survive through my heavy books in my bag.

The first thing that's in my school bag would have to be my pencil case which is from PaperChase and I love it! It has glitter on it and panda's and cute little fairy's on it (yes I know im going into year 11 but who cares right?). In my pencil case I obviously have pens and pencils and highlighter's and rubbers but most of my stationary is from PaperChase  or WHSmiths.

Next in my school bag I have something I like to call "The Survival Kit" in this I just have my keys for my house and locker I have some medicine in their which is paracetamol and 4 head I only carry these things around with me as I have my main tablets before school and the most important thing I have in their is some Sanitary towels and some spare pants just incase mother nature want's to see you early, I have some hand sanitizer because of the germs around school I have some plasters just incase I have a nail file just incase I break a nail because I love my nails! they have to be perfect... and I also just keep a little bit of money in there as well just incase.Normally my earphones and a pack of tissues  and a lip balm would be in there too but I just pop them in my blazer pocket.

The next thing I have is just my Cath Kidston  pouch that hold's my equipment like my maths stuff which is a calculator which is obviously pink I have had this since Year 8  and im hoping it does not give up on me during my maths exam in November also have my protractor and stuff like that. I have only used this as there was not any little pockets in my bag to put this stuff so I just put it nice and neat in to this so that it doesn't fall out my bag or get lost!

Then just at the bottom of my bag I just have my glasses that I wear all the time at school as im as blind as a bat and can't read anything off the board or anything out of books as my eyesight is rubbish so my glasses are just Ted Baker  and they are a lovely colour.I would aslo carry in my bag my lunch box some water and my school books and school planner that are always in my bag.

Back to school make up

Natural back to school make up look...

I'm going to show you the make up I use on a  day to day basis while at school. It's very light on your skin and doesn't move during the PE and dance I do throughout the day. This look is really quick and easy for in the morning and stays put all day which is good for if you don't take make up to school like me.

Before make up I moisturise my face with Simple Replenishing rich moisturiser. Some makeup dries your skin so a moisturiser before helps keep your skin hydrated all day.

Face

Firstly I apply Collection Lasting perfection conceler in the shade 02 light under my eyes on any spots and blemishes and around my nose. This is the conceler everyonr loves and I totally agree! Its good coverage but still light so its great for school. I then use the Collection pressed powder in the shade 10 Daydream to set the conceler and make sure it lasts all day. The next thing I like to do is put Models Prefere neutralising powder on my T-zone to cover oil that builds through the day. Im not sure this really works but I do it everyday and its only light so you have nothing to lose really. I apply the powders with my brush from Ted Baker.

Eyes

Eyes are kept very simple for this look. First I fill in my eyebrows with my Models Prefere eyebrow pencil. Then I curl my eye lashes because I have really long lashes and if I don't curl them everyday then they will end up in my eye some how which isn't fun! Then I apply a light coat of Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara because it lasts all day and doesn't end up under your eye like some mascaras do. I have recently started using a tecnique that I saw on a youtube channel called DailyMix when they did a series called beauty boot camp. It is to put a highloghter in the corner of your eye and it really opens your eye and just makes you look more awake which is just what you want if like me you wake up at the last minute and end up rushing to get to the bus stop. I use Benefits highlighter called Highbeam. To make sure the highlighter blends into the eye lid from the corner I use the Models Prefere shading brush.

Lips

I think for school you should stay away from colour on your lips because that kind of defetes the point of a natural make up look. The UK finally have Maybelline Baby Lips so they are great for just adding a little bit of colour because they are just like a tinted lip balm. Mine is called Peach Kiss and is just a light shimmer. If you want some colour on your lips maybe for picture day or something, I recommend Models prefere lip stick in the shade Sheer Pink Rose.

Blush

This is a step that is just for if you have time to blend it in but its blush. This is Benefit Coralista and its just a pretty pink colour which again might be nice for picture day. 

As I said earlier I don't take make up to school except for a lipbalm and shine absorbing sheets which you will see in my next post- Whats in my school bag so look out for that!

Skin Care Routine

I have recently started looking after my skin a lot more than usual which I know is a must and that you should always look after your skin! My skin is lovely and I am totally spot free  I know I am very lucky with my skin and I feel terrible because some people with spot's have tried all different types of products that will help with their skin but sometimes it makes it worse for them and im guilty because I never used to look after my skin the only thing I used to do was remove my makeup with makeup wipes! So I'm going to show you how I look after my skin know so with out further a do lets get started!

Step 1: 

* Garnier Clean and Soft Complete Cleansing Wipes (£2.17), I have been using these facial wipes since I have started wearing makeup my mom recommended them to me and ever since then I have never brought or used any different cleansing wipes.I really recommend these cleansing wipes because they are so soft they smell pleasant and they remove your makeup perfectly.And this is what I use to remove my makeup every night it's also good at removing the dirt off your face because you don't want a dirty face!

Step 2:

*Nivea Pure & Natural Cleansing Lotion (£2.30), I use this cleansing lotion every night before I go to bed I apply it to a large cotton wool pad which you cant get from Boots, Superdrug and also supermarkets.Once I have applied a fair amount on to the cotton wool pad I just apply that to one of my cheeks and just make sure that its spread around the cheek evenly I then do the same to my other cheek then to my forehead just my whole face really and I just try to rub it in as much as I can, you can see the dirt that has been on your face all day on the cotton wool pad but this helps alot to remove all the grubby things that are on your face.

Step 3:

*Nivea Pure & Natural Cleansing Toner (£2.24), When I have applied the Cleansing Lotion to my face I get another large cotton wool pad and just squirt some of the Cleansing Toner on to the large cotton wool pad and just go around my face just wiping off the Lotion that I had put on before, you can  see the dirt on the cotton wool pad when you remove it which shows that the Makeup remover wipes don't remove all of the grubby things that are on to your face all day even though you can't even see them! The Cleansing toner honestly looks like water if you ask my but anyway... When I finish with this my skin feels so soft and refreshed.

Step 4:

*Nivea Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover (£3.39), I use this again every night just to remove my eye makeup as I always wear my eye shadows and mascara because im obsessed with making my eyes look pretty so I just apply this to a large cotton wool pad and just wipe over my eye lids and just my eye lashes to get an mascara that didn't come off with the makeup wipes.

*******Another thing I also do is not something I do every night because I don't go in the shower every night but when im in the shower I just wash my face with just the hot water from the shower and just cup it in my hands and splash my face.**********

I also hope to add another thing to my skin routine which is the Clarisonic Brush in pink so if anyone has one just comment and tell me what they are like as I might need to purchase a pink Clarisonic Brush!

And thats it thats my skin routine for you I would honestly try these products if I were you because they are fantastic! Thank you!

Little Side Note:

Me and Abbie have not been posting alot lately as we didn't know what to write about but we are back up and running again! We will probably be doing a whats in my school bag? Maybe we could start a back to school series even though it might be a little late know but we could do advice anything that you need help with about school that just a little idea!

Fashion Magazines...

4 Fashion Magazine Reviews...

I'm a big fan of fashion magazines and they are what really made me want to be apart of this blog with Alicia and hopefully one day be able to write for one of the top fashion magazines in the country! (I like to dream big) So here is my opinion of 'Vogue', 'Elle', 'Company' and 'Cosmopolitan'... Enjoy!

Vogue!

Vogue is probably one of, if not the best known fashion magazine in the world! This is the first issue I bought, it's the December 2012 and I had always wanted to read Vogue but as I was only 14 at the time I always thought I was too young. However, This issue has a huge One Direction section so I just had to buy it!It was the first fashion magazine I'd ever read front to back and I loved it! I'm glad I kept it because at 14 I didn't really appreciate it as much as I could of but since iv gone back threw it and found many outfit ideas and little tips&tricks I can safely say it doesn't disappoint. At 15 I'm probably still a bit young for Vogue but Teen Vogue isn't very easy to get your hands on in England so I enjoyed this just as much as I would the teen version I think! 

Age- I think people age 16-18+ will probably love and appreciate this magazine

Rating out of 5- 3.5 - purely because I think its a bit old for me at the moment

Elle

June 2013's Elle magazine featured Miley Cyrus... whats not to love?! Elle is definitely one of my favourite fashion magazines because it has lots of tips, interviews with people who know what they're talking about and I'v never been so engrossed in a magazine before! I literately couldn't put it down! I dont know what else to say other than its amazing, I love it and I think you will too! So get a copy and see what you think! Just a side note Elles Instagram is great for a fashion fix between issues: elleuk

Company

I have never wanted to fan girl over a magazine so much in my life... As much as I love the other magazines Company is definitely my favourite! Urgh I just LOVE it! Its bright and colorful and each one has a fun spine with a quirky title. Company is a magazine that as long as my local supermarket has it I will buy it. Again I don't know what to say except its amazing and if you don't get it your missing out big time! Company have an Instagram account that I love too which you should take a look at: Companymagazine .Just a side note Company if your looking for a feature writer of some sort I'm sure I can fit time into my busy fangirl life ;)

Cosmopolitan

I thought Cosmopolitan was more of a fashion magazine which is why I bought it but I was wrong... Its definitely too old for me and wasn't really to my taste. However, I did enjoy the fashion section and I enjoyed reading it but I probably wont be buying it again for a while. I wanted to include it incase anyone else thought it was a fashion mag like me but ill be sticking to Company for now... Sorry!

Age- 16-18+

Rating- 2.5- I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought but when I'm older ill definitely try it again!

What's in my makeup bag:Holiday Edition

So as you know I have just gotten back from a lovely holiday in Cyprus! I thought why not do a holiday edition of whats in my makeup bag and what I took with me?! I only brought one thing in duty free which is good for me because our flight was boarding as soon as we got through security so I only managed to eat and buy something! So lets get in to what's in my makeup bag:)

Face:The makeup that I took on holiday that I used for my face was not used as much as I thought I would need it because I caught a tan very quickly on my face! The majority of the face products that I took with me are normally used all year round.I took two BB creams which were the 17 BB cream and Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream both of these BB creams have SPF in them as well which is a must have! The brushes I took to apply the BB creams were---- Beauty Blender  and A Mac Foundation Brush 190.I also took my under eye concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes which is the Maybelline The Eraser Eye and I applied this with my beauty blender.When I have applied all the BB creams and the concealer I then apply my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in the shade 02 Rose Ivory I use this to set my makeup and to stop my face from getting oily when I get to warm... I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Eyes:The products that I used for my eyes were my Mac Palette and My mascara was the Lancome  Hypnose- Doll Eyes Effect.The two eye shadows that I used were the two colours at the top of the palette which were a dark brown colour and then a light champagne colour(Im so sorry I can't remember the names of them and can't seem to find them in my makeup draw or on the internet), I would use the light champagne colour first and I would apply this on my eye lid and would put the amount that I think worked for me, I then added the dark brown colour in to the crease of my eye lid and this mixed in with the light champagne colour and then I would just blend it out which added a lovely light colour but also a hint of dark in it.The bushes I would use were my Sigma Mrs Bunny Travel Kit to apply the light champagne colour I would use the brush 

E55 - Eye Shading  and then use the brush E40-Tapered Blending to apply the brown shade in the crease of my eye. The Mascara that I took was just one of my old ones but I managed to pick up one from Duty Free which I feel in love with and it apply's perfectly and doesn't clump I even think that it better then the benefit they're real mascara.The mascara is from Lancome and it was a limited edition and honestly I really recommend it. My Trip to Cyprus☀

Hello Im back from Cyprus unfortunately I wish I was back in the sun and tanning but no im in my room in England writing my post up while it raining! I want to apologies for my lack of blog posts recently but there should be more coming from me very soon!


So me and my family and my brothers girlfriend booked a holiday ages ago to go Cyprus this year as last year as we didn't have a holiday due to me being in hospital and our friends child being in hospital as well! So we travelled down to Manchester on the 20th and stopped over night as our flight to Cyprus was early hours of the morning I do have a holiday haul which will be uploaded soon on what I brought over there and what I brought in duty free in the airport and we stopped for 10 days in Cyprus which was the 21st-31st and honestly I wish we stopped longer.We stopped at the most beautiful hotel which was called 'Sunrise Beach Hotel' In Protoas.All the staff in the hotel were lovely you had the people that worked in the pool bar the people that worked on reception the managers of different restaurants which were in the hotel also the bar manager that we had a drink with every night he even offered me a job but then I told him I was only 15 and he said come back next year and you will have a job so looks like I will be living in Cyprus for the 6 weeks! Also the entertainers were lovely and we got friendly with them which we are know friends on Facebook!

The rooms were lovely in the hotel and really clean and the beds were even comfy?! I mean thats what you want when you are on holiday! nothing like my own bed though! I had to share a room with my brother Ben and his girlfriend Anke I got along with Anke in the room but not Ben put it this way the room was way to messy for my liking! Our hotel room got cleaned everyday and the maids were lovely also.

Our holiday was mainly spent by the pool then on the night going out for something to eat and drinks after! We were allecated our sun beds when we got there and got to pick where we wanted them and honestly we picked the best place for the sun and the view we also had a lovely couple next to us.We were mainly in the pool playing with a volley ball that we brought and we spent many days hitting that around the pool while my brother got angry at me as I wasn't hitting it up I was hitting it down... so..... We also played a real volley ball game with people around the pool with the entertainers where a good looking russian thought he could flirt with me..... he was good looking though^_^.We also went in the sea alot as well but that got busier as the week went on but it was fun when we were in there when we had the rubber ring. We became friends with everyone and we even became friends with people who live in the same village as us that only live down the road and it seems like we have known them for ages.

On the night we went to the restaurant which was right in the hotel with a view of the sea and the sun setting it was lovely you had an excuse to get dressed up also as you had to dress smart to be able to get in.On the last night we went all out we even had a bottle of Moet which I had a little drink of but stuck with my freshly squeezed orange juice which they did fresh every morning in the pool bar and also made some at the bar for the night we also went for Frozen Yogurt at a place called Froo Yoo it was lovely this was on the strip which was just outside the hotel which had different bars and places to eat and little shops!

Honestly it was the best holiday I have ever been on and the staff at the hotel could not do enough for you and we will be going back next year and we are booking next week so that we can go at the same time and maybe next time I  might not be coming back on the plane to England I might be stopping in Cyprus if they offer me that job which I will adore.The hotel was beautiful and the staff again were lovely and I recommend the Sunrise Beach Hotel if you ever take a trip to Cyprus☀

I would love to know what your favourite place to go on holiday is? Also there will be more holiday related posts off me coming very soon as I have all the time in the world know so more posts regularly!
